(2009), intestinal organoids have transformed in vitro gastrointestinal research by enabling the creation of models that replicate the native tissue architecture and function. However, many of these models rely on proliferative organoid cultures and may be overlooking critical insights revealed only in differentiated cell populations.
IntestiCult™ Plus Organoid Growth Medium (IntestiCult™ Plus), a next-generation medium, enables the growth of organoids that contain both proliferative stem cells and mature, functionally diverse intestinal cell types, resulting in a physiologically balanced cellular composition in your organoids. To further enable functional studies of the intestinal epithelium in first-generation organoid models, IntestiCult™ Organoid Differentiation Medium (Human) promotes the maturation of goblet cells, enteroendocrine cells, and other specialized lineages. It also supports flexible culture formats, including submerged monolayers and air-liquid interface cultures, giving researchers access to both luminal and basolateral surfaces.
IntestiCult™ Organoid Growth Medium (Human) and IntestiCult™ Organoid Growth Medium (Mouse) are first-generation standardized formulations that support the reliable and scalable growth of human- or mouse-derived intestinal stem cells while preserving regional identity.
